Accessibility Statement
Standards BLACKWORKS works to in making the website usable for visitors with a range of access needs.
BLACKWORKS works to make the website usable by visitors with a range of access needs, including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, reduced motion, or high-contrast settings.
1. Standards
The website is designed with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA as a working target. The intent is substantive conformance with the guideline principles of perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust content.
2. Implemented practices
- Semantic HTML structure with a single primary heading per page and a logical heading hierarchy.
- Form fields with persistent labels, programmatic association of help text and errors, and ARIA attributes for invalid states.
- Keyboard-operable interactive elements with visible focus styles.
- Color choices selected to meet contrast targets for body text on the dark background, with non-color cues where state matters.
- Responsive layout that reflows for narrow viewports and supports browser zoom without loss of content.
- Descriptive link text and meaningful page titles for each route.
3. Known limitations
Some decorative elements rely on motion. The site uses standard browser scrolling and does not auto-scroll. If you encounter content that is difficult to access, please report it through the contact channel; reports help direct remediation.
4. Compatibility
The website is tested in current versions of major browsers. Older browsers may render content with reduced fidelity but should remain readable.
5. Feedback
Accessibility reports, requests for an accessible alternative format for specific content, or suggestions for improvement should be sent through the contact channel linked at the bottom of this page. Reports are prioritized alongside other operating work.
